Overview

Welcome to Banner, where academic excellence thrives in a warm and supportive community! Students are challenged and encouraged to achieve their best, and parents are welcomed to participate in the life of the school.
Admissions Policy
The Banner School admits students who are motivated to learn and who will benefit from and contribute to the school’s goals.
Banner accepts student applications at any time of the year, provided there are openings. If a class is full, students are accepted first-come, first-served as openings occur. Before applying, we encourage you to arrange a school visit or attend one of our regularly scheduled Open Houses.
Acceptance is Based On
· Review by the Admissions Committee of past academic performance (as indicated by standardized test scores, transcripts, or report cards)
· Information from parents and current or previous teachers
· Observed behavior during the child’s classroom visit; and
· Confidence, on the part of the school, that the student can have success within Banner’s curriculum
We encourage our Kindergarten applicants to be age 5 on or before September 1; however, exceptions are granted after assessment if we determine a child is ready in all developmental areas: cognitive, emotional and social.
The Banner School seeks and admits students without regard to race, color, creed, sex or national or ethnic origin. The school does not discriminate in the administration of its policies and programs.
