Dress Code

All Banner students in grades K through eight have a regulated dress code which we believe helps build school spirit and promotes a positive self-image. It is flexible enough to allow students and parents to choose from a variety of colors and styles.

Dress code clothing may be purchased online through Lands’ End (except P.E. uniforms), Rose Uniforms, You Name It (located in Urbana, MD with P.E. uniforms in stock.  They will apply Banner logo to polo shirts purchased elsewhere for a charge). BAM Consulting, LLC offers the P.E. uniform, gold polos, etc., will apply Banner logo to polo shirts purchased elsewhere for a charge and will deliver orders either to the school or ship to student's home.  When ordering from BAM's website, user name is BANNER and passcode is Bobcats.

When ordering from Lands' End, please use the Banner preferred customer code: 9000-3695-5. 

Boys:

Polo shirts: Evergreen/Hunter green, white, navy blue, primary red, or gold (available at BAM Consulting, LLC only).

Turtle necks: Evergreen/Hunter green, white, navy blue, or primary red.

Sweaters & Sweater Vests: Evergreen/Hunter green, navy blue or red v-neck or cardigan with embroidered school logo.

Dress Slacks: (Chino or Dockers) navy blue or khaki. Length not to exceed top of shoes. A belt is required with slacks with belt loops. Belts are solid black or brown without any large buckles - no more than 2" - or ornamentation.

Shorts: permissible between September 5 - November 21 and April 1 - June 6. (cotton blend/Chino): navy blue or khaki. No cargo style shorts. Knee length only.

Dress Shoes: Now required for Middle School only!  Plain black, brown or navy dress shoes; loafers, or lace up dress shoes. Velcro closure is acceptable.

Primary School students only may wear athletic shoes daily.  This change is in response to safety and health concerns.  No open backs, sandals, or boots.

P.E.: Hunter green sweat pants, sweatshirts, shorts and grey t-shirt (may be purchased from Rose Uniform, You Name It or BAM Consulting, LLC with school logo which is required).  Also required are athletic socks, cross trainers or running shoes only.  Please no cleats, Vans, Keds, board shoes, or shoes with poor tread.   

 

Girls:

Skirts/Jumpers/Skorts: navy blue, khaki, or Banner plaid (available through Lands’ End or Rose Uniform). Skirts/Jumpers/Skorts must be knee length.

Dress Slacks: (Chino or Dockers): navy blue or khaki. Length not to exceed top of shoes. No cargo style, no low-rise pants or lycra/spandex material. A belt is required with slacks with belt loops. Belts are plain black or brown without any large buckles - no more than 2" - or ornamentation.
