Parents
A sampling of Banner School parents were asked to communicate their feelings about the school with the completion of the following sentence: "The Banner School prepares children..."
Here were their responses: "to be individuals." "to appreciate diversity." "to love education." "with a high regard for well-rounded personal development and professional excellence that is second to none." "for a life filled with enthusiasm for learning, respect for themselves, and tolerance of their fellow humans." "to be citizens of the world." "for success in a better world."
A large measure of The Banner School's success with children is attributable to the parents of our students. Our "Learning Triangle" - a relationship which includes students, their parents, and teachers - is not an abstract idea but a living entity that is experienced in numerous ways each day at the school. Parents and teachers support one another, ensuring the best educational experiences for students.
Here, it is not uncommon to see parents on campus helping to coordinate special events, visiting at lunch, or celebrating the academic or athletic achievements of their child and other students. Banner School parents are very involved and have much to do with the sense of community that is prevalent here. They establish relationships with the faculty and staff. Equally important, our faculty and staff know our parents.
If you are considering enrolling your child at The Banner School, we encourage you to attend one of our regularly scheduled Open House events at which time you can experience The Banner School community, see classes in session, and speak with the faculty and parents of our students.
