FAQs
How many students are in a Banner classroom?
We usually have fewer than 15 students per class, though this varies slightly from class to class and may even exceed 20 in the upper elementary or middle school for some subjects. Our Kindergarten and class has a full time assistant which helps us provide a lot of extra attention there. Please visit us and tour our classrooms to see firsthand.
Does Banner offer financial aid? Sibling Discounts?
Yes, while we don't offer sibling discounts, we do offer a financial aid program that is managed by an outside organization called FACTS Tuition Management. Once a family has gone through the admission process, received an offer and returned the signed enrollment contract to Banner, that family may submit an application for financial aid. The earlier in the school year this happens, the better, as awards are competitive and needs-based.
Does Banner provide before and after care?
Yes, we provide both. Before care begins a 7am and after care ends at 6 p.m. For more details, please go to Programs, Extended Care.
Is Banner affiliated with any particular religious organization?
No, Banner is Frederick County's only independent preschool - 8th grade school that is non-sectarian.
Does Banner provide transportation?
No, at this time Banner families drive their children to and from school. We do encourage families to car pool with each other. We will update this site with any changes if necessary. We do have a 14 passenger activity vehicle which we use for various field trips and athletic events.
Does Banner provide lunch daily?
Students are welcome to either bring their lunch or purchase lunch through our catered lunch option. Menus are distributed a month in advance and orders are placed with the vendors. Milk is also available for purchase.
