How many students are in a Banner classroom?

Typical class size throughout the grades is 15 students though some middle school classes may be slightly more where appropriate. Our Preschool and Kindergarten classes have full-time co-instructors.

Does Banner offer financial aid?  

We do offer a financial aid program that is managed by an outside organization called FACTS Tuition Management.  After a signed contract is submitted, a family may submit an application for financial aid. 

Does Banner provide before and after care?

We provide a structured Extended Care Program that begins at 7:00 a.m. and  ends at 6:00 p.m.  For more details, please go to Programs, Extended Care.

Is Banner affiliated with any particular religious organization?

No, Banner is Frederick County's only independent school that is non-sectarian.

Does Banner provide transportation?

Banner families drive their children to and from school.  We do encourage families to car pool with each other. Our two 14-passenger activity vehicles are used primarily for field trips and athletic events.  We do currently have one picking students up in Urbana for morning drop off only.

Does Banner provide lunch daily?

Students are welcome to either bring their lunch or purchase lunch through our hot lunch menu program.  Lunch is ordered online. Milk is also available for purchase.
